Hydrawise uses wifi to retrieve data from nearby weather stations and will then adjust programming based on the weather forecast. The controller will skip watering when rain is forecast and after rain has fallen, and adjust run times to suit forecast temperatures.

To summarise Hydrawise features it skips watering if rain is forecast, increases run times when it’s hot, and decreases when its cool. This ensures your turf is receiving just the right amount of water each cycle, and in the case of sports fields as it prevents watering prior to a rain event, you are not only saving somewhere around 20-30,000 litres of water and electricity as the pump isn’t running, but also minimising the time the field is out of action due to saturation from the irrigation coming on at say 2am and then 20mm of rain falling later that day!

Hydrawise is the complete smart controller available for both commercial and residential projects. With stacks of features it is the most precise smart controller that can be fine tuned using multiple weather stations to give the most accurate weather data.

It is a cloud based controller meaning if you lose your phone, your controller doesn’t lose all it’s information. It also has a built in multi meter and the ability to add a flow meter to ensure you are alerted in the event of a high or low flow event- we will know immediately if you have a blocked or broken nozzle, leaking pipe or jammed solenoid valve. On commercial or isolated sites where wifi may not be readily available, we can install a USB port inside the controller and then install a wifi dongle meaning the controller has its very own wifi connection.

Each week you will receive a report showing how many minutes your system ran for and how many minutes were saved with adjustments based on the weather and rainfall, as well as a comparison from previous years.
